Sunrise Memorial Gardens

The Easter sunrise service, a service which has taken place in the community for almost 40 years, will begin at 6:30 a.m. in the Garden of the Old Rugged Cross located 1591 Gadsden Highway in Trussville.The service will include a message by Brother Eddie Adams, house chaplain, titled “Don’t Be Fooled”. Adams is also part of the Fishers of Men Farm Ministry, a ministry dedicated to helping families and individuals reconnect with God through outdoor activities.Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Garden’s Adam Seal shares more details about the event including the order of service.“This Easter service is pretty incredible in front of the cross in the gardens,” he said. “There is so much meaning behind the location because of the crucifixion and the cemetery. During the service, people can watch the sunrise over the cross. It is truly beautiful.”“The service will begin in the gardens at 6:30 a.m. on Easter morning. We will begin the service with music, songs and an introduction before Brother Adams presents his message. Music and vocals will be performed by Connie Smith and Tessa Kirk.”The event is opened to the community, and anyone interested should bring a blanket.
